Gary Barlow’s long-awaited Afghanistan documentary, ‘Gary Barlow: Journey to Afghanistan’ aired last night on ITV.

In the documentary, Gary visited the troops in Afghanistan, ran a 5KM run with some of the servicemen stationed at Camp Bastion, and performed at a special thank-you concert, with members of the armed forces joining him on stage.

Gary said of his experience: “I think we are all aware of what a great job they [British Armed Forces] are all doing but to go and see it is something else. To go and see the way it all works, this big team, that everybody is working towards the same goal, it’s incredible.”
